The NIBCO px80750a is a lead-free PEX crimp tee fitting designed for use in potable water distribution systems. Manufactured to ASTM F1807 standards, this reducing tee connects a 3/4-inch run to a 1/2-inch branch outlet, allowing branch takeoffs in residential and light commercial PEX piping systems. The fitting uses a crimp-ring connection method, requiring a standard PEX crimp tool and the appropriate copper crimp rings. Its lead-free construction keeps it compliant with safe drinking water regulations, making it suitable for installations where potable water contact requirements apply. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This fitting is used in hot and cold potable water distribution systems roughed-in with PEX tubing. The reducing configuration — 3/4 inch on the run ports and 1/2 inch on the branch — is common when dropping from a main trunk line to a fixture supply. Typical applications include residential new construction, remodel plumbing, and hydronic distribution where PEX is the approved pipe material. The F1807 crimp standard is widely accepted under major plumbing codes including the IPC and UPC.
Designed as an F1807-compliant crimp fitting for use with 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch PEX tubing in potable water systems where ASTM F1807 crimp connections are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the IPC, UPC, or locally adopted plumbing code. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into existing lines. Use a calibrated PEX crimp tool and copper crimp rings sized to match each port diameter. Inspect each crimp with a go/no-go gauge before pressurizing the system.
