The NIBCO PTRAP-58 is a wrot copper P-trap with solder cup (CxC) ends, sized at 5/8 inch, designed for use on refrigeration and HVAC suction lines. It is manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility and carries a 50-year limited warranty. The primary function of this fitting is to loop the suction line down to the floor before it runs vertically upward. This loop prevents compressor oil from draining back into the compressor during shutdown. The wrot copper construction provides consistent wall thickness and reliable joint strength when soldered.

This P-trap is used on the suction line of refrigeration compressors in both commercial and residential refrigeration systems. It is installed at the base of vertical riser sections to prevent oil migration back to the compressor during off cycles.
