The NIBCO PRES90STLFTGC1 is a copper 90 degree elbow fitting designed to change flow direction in press-connect copper piping systems. One end accepts a sweat or solder connection in a FTG (fitting-to-fitting) configuration, while the other end uses a press connection for tool-based, flame-free joining. The 1 inch size suits a wide range of residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic applications. Licensed plumbers install this fitting where directional changes are required without open-flame soldering.
This elbow is suited for potable water supply lines, hydronic heating systems, and general plumbing distribution in residential and light commercial construction. The FTG end integrates directly into solder-joint assemblies, making it a practical transition fitting when mixing press and sweat connections in the same system. It is commonly used during new construction, remodel work, and retrofit projects where press tooling is already on site.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1 inch copper press and sweat piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.18 or B16.22 standards as relevant. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before installing or replacing any fitting. The press end requires a compatible press tool and jaw set rated for the fitting size and series. Do not attempt to press the fitting without the proper tooling, as an incomplete connection will not hold system pressure.
