The NIBCO PRES90STL112 is a copper 90-degree elbow fitting designed for press-connection piping systems. It features a FTG (fitting) end on one side and a press end on the other, allowing a direction change of 90 degrees without soldering or open flame. This fitting is used in potable water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting where speed and flame-free connections are required, particularly in occupied buildings or remodel work where torch use is restricted.
The PRES90STL112 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications requiring a 1-1/2 inch copper press system transition or elbow. The FTG end accepts standard copper tubing or a fitting end for back-to-back configurations, while the press end creates a permanent, leak-tested seal using a standard press tool and appropriate jaws for the pipe size. It is commonly installed in water distribution lines, heating supply and return runs, and mechanical room piping.
Designed as an OEM-style press fitting for use in 1-1/2 inch copper press piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic applications.
Installation must be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter using a compatible press tool with the correct 1-1/2 inch copper press jaws. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line before making connections. Verify that pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before pressing. Local plumbing codes including IPC requirements should be followed for inspection and system pressure testing after installation.
