The NIBCO PCH600DS1 is a press-by-press copper coupling designed for joining seamless copper water tube in residential and commercial plumbing, gas, and compressed air systems. The fitting uses a press connection method that eliminates open flame from the joining process, making it a fast and reliable alternative to soldered joints. A unique N witness mark appears on the fitting when the crimp is properly executed, providing visible confirmation of a secure connection. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting using compatible pressing tools, jaws, and chains. The PCH600DS1 is sized at 1 inch and is suitable for above-ground and underground installations.
The PCH600DS1 is used in residential and commercial copper tubing systems carrying potable water, gas, or compressed air. Its press-fit design is well suited for retrofit and new construction work where torch use is restricted or impractical. The fitting can be installed underground, expanding its range of applications in site utility and in-slab plumbing runs. It is part of the NIBCO PressG product line, which includes a full range of copper and copper alloy fittings alongside compatible pressing tools and accessories.
Designed for use with seamless copper water tube in residential and commercial gas and compressed air systems. Compatible with NIBCO PressG pressing tools, jaws, and chains. Refer to NIBCO technical data sheets and catalogs for full engineering and installation compatibility details.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter using a compatible pressing tool with the appropriate jaw or chain set for the 1-inch connection size. Consult applicable local plumbing codes and the NIBCO technical data sheet for gas and compressed air service requirements.
