The NIBCO NLJ120F is a manual wafer-style butterfly valve designed for 3-inch pipe systems in commercial and industrial fluid control applications. The valve features a cast iron body, ductile iron disc, and stainless steel stem, delivering durable shut-off and throttling performance. An ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) seat provides a reliable resilient seal compatible with a range of water and general-service fluids. Rated to 200 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this valve is sized for demanding mechanical system environments. A lever handle provides quick quarter-turn manual actuation. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
The NLJ120F is suited for use in commercial HVAC hydronic systems, industrial water distribution, and general mechanical piping where a compact wafer-body profile is required. The wafer design sandwiches between standard pipe flanges, keeping face-to-face dimension minimal and reducing installation space requirements. This valve is appropriate for above-ground, accessible piping runs where manual operation is acceptable and periodic inspection is feasible.

Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable local mechanical codes. Isolate and depressurize the piping system completely before installing or servicing the valve. The wafer body must be centered carefully between mating flanges with appropriate flange bolts torqued evenly to prevent seat distortion. Verify flow direction and confirm the valve is in the fully open position before returning the system to service pressure.
