The NIBCO NLG350K is a manual lug-style butterfly valve designed for 6-inch pipe installations in commercial and industrial fluid control systems. It features a ductile iron body, stainless steel disc, and stainless steel stem, paired with a Buna-N seat for reliable sealing. The lever handle allows for quick manual quarter-turn operation to open or close flow. Rated for up to 250 psi working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F, this valve is suited for demanding water, HVAC, and general service piping applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of valve.
This valve is used in commercial and industrial piping systems where a lug-style mounting is required for dead-end service or line isolation. The lug design allows the valve to be installed between flanges and permits removal of downstream piping without disturbing the upstream connection. Typical applications include HVAC chilled water and condenser water systems, fire protection support piping, general plumbing service lines, and marine or coastal installations where U.S. Coast Guard Category A compliance is required. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit projects on 6-inch flanged piping systems.
Designed as an OEM-style lug butterfly valve for use with standard 6-inch ANSI flanged piping systems in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and general industrial fluid service applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B31.1 or B31.9 piping standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before installing or removing the valve. Verify flange bolt pattern and gasket alignment before tightening fasteners evenly in a cross pattern to ensure uniform seat compression. Do not use the lever handle as leverage for tightening bolts or applying external force to the valve body.
