The NIBCO NLG250K is a manual lug-style butterfly valve designed for 6-inch pipe systems requiring reliable on/off or throttling flow control. The valve features a ductile iron body and disc paired with a stainless steel stem and a Buna-N seat, making it suitable for a wide range of liquid service applications. It is rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure at temperatures up to 180 degrees F. The lever handle provides direct manual actuation without the need for an actuator or gear operator. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve in commercial and industrial piping systems where a low-profile, full-lug wafer design is required for dead-end service.
The NLG250K is suited for commercial plumbing, hydronic, and process piping applications in both new construction and retrofit installations. The lug-style body allows the valve to be installed as a dead-end service valve, supporting line removal on one side without disrupting the opposite pipe run. It is appropriate for water, HVAC hydronic loops, and general industrial fluid service within its rated pressure and temperature limits. This valve meets U.S. Coast Guard Category A requirements, making it a valid choice for marine and shipboard applications as well.
Designed as an OEM-style lug butterfly valve for 6-inch pipe flanged connections meeting MSS SP-67 dimensional standards. Meets MSS SP-25 marking standards and U.S. Coast Guard Category A requirements for marine service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before installing or removing the valve. Confirm flange bolt pattern and gasket compatibility with the mating flanges before final installation. The lever handle requires adequate clearance for full 90-degree actuation travel.
