The NIBCO NLG250H is a manual lug-style butterfly valve designed for flow control in industrial and commercial piping systems. Built with a ductile iron body and ductile iron disc, it handles a 4-inch pipe size and operates via a lever handle for quick quarter-turn actuation. The stainless steel stem (Grade 416) provides corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure and 180 degrees F maximum working temperature, this valve suits a broad range of liquid handling applications. It is lead-free compliant and meets recognized industry standards for pressure-rated butterfly valve service.
The NLG250H is suited for use in commercial HVAC hydronic systems, industrial water distribution, fire protection support piping, and general process lines where a lug-type wafer butterfly valve is required. The lug pattern allows the valve to be installed as an end-of-line valve or between flanges without requiring companion flanges on both sides to hold the valve in place. Licensed pipefitters and mechanical contractors are the typical installers for this valve type in both new construction and retrofit projects.
Designed as an OEM-style lug butterfly valve replacement or new installation fitting for 4-inch flanged piping systems conforming to standard bolt patterns. Meets MSS SP-67 and MSS SP-25 marking standards, and holds U.S. Coast Guard Category A approval.
Installation of this valve should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable plumbing and mechanical codes, including ASME B31.1 or B31.9 as appropriate to the system. Isolate and fully depressurize the pipeline before installation or removal. Verify that flange bolt circle dimensions match the valve lug pattern before torquing fasteners. Do not exceed the rated working pressure of 250 psi or the maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F.
