The NIBCO NLG250E is a manual lug-style butterfly valve designed for flow control in commercial and industrial piping systems. Built with a ductile iron body and ductile iron disc, this valve is engineered for durability under pressure. The stainless steel stem (material grade 416) resists corrosion, and the Buna-N seat provides a reliable seal across a wide range of fluid service applications. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure and 180 degrees F maximum working temperature, the NLG250E handles demanding service conditions. A lever handle allows for quick quarter-turn manual actuation. The lug-style body enables end-of-line service or in-line installation without removing downstream piping.
This valve is sized for 2-1/2 inch pipe and is suited for use in commercial HVAC systems, industrial process lines, water distribution, and marine applications. The U.S. Coast Guard Category A rating makes it appropriate for shipboard use. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this valve in systems where manual shutoff or flow isolation is required. It complies with MSS SP-67 for butterfly valves and carries MSS SP-25 markings. Lead-free construction meets applicable potable water regulations where required by code.
Designed for installation in 2-1/2 inch lug-pattern butterfly valve applications conforming to MSS SP-67 flange drilling patterns in commercial, industrial, and marine piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Depressurize and isolate the line before removing any existing valve. Confirm flange bolt circle and drilling pattern match the lug body before final assembly. Verify flow direction and actuator clearance before torquing flange fasteners.
