The NIBCO NLG200E is a manual lug-style butterfly valve designed for flow control in commercial and industrial piping systems. Built with a ductile iron body and ductile iron disc, this valve handles a maximum working pressure of 250 psi. The stainless steel stem, grade 416, resists corrosion and provides reliable actuation under demanding conditions. An ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) seat delivers a resilient seal across a wide range of media. The lever handle allows quick quarter-turn operation without the need for actuators or special tooling. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers for this valve type.
The NLG200E is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications where a compact, lug-pattern butterfly valve is required. The lug body style allows the valve to be installed as a dead-end service valve when one flange is removed, making it practical for hydronic heating systems, chilled water lines, cooling tower piping, and general water service. The 2-1/2 inch pipe size fits standard flanged piping configurations. This valve meets lead-free requirements and complies with MSS SP-67 and U.S. Coast Guard Category A standards, broadening its application to marine and regulated installations.
Designed as an OEM-style lug butterfly valve for standard 2-1/2 inch flanged piping systems in commercial and industrial mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical codes, including ASME B31.9 for building services piping. Isolate and depressurize the line and confirm zero pressure before removing or installing the valve. Verify flange bolt pattern and gasket compatibility before torquing fasteners. Do not exceed the 250 psi rated working pressure of the valve.
