The NIBCO NLG090F is a 3-inch lug style butterfly valve from the LD-2000-0 series, designed for reliable shut-off service in commercial plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial process systems. The body is constructed from ductile iron, the disc from aluminum bronze, and the stem pin from 416 stainless steel, delivering a corrosion-resistant assembly suited for demanding wet environments. Softgoods are EPDM, providing a durable, resilient seat compatible with water service. The valve is rated at 125/150 lb pressure class and carries a continuous temperature rating of 225 degrees F, with an intermittent rating of 250 degrees F. It ships with a bare stem actuator, ready for manual handle or automated actuator mounting. Domestically manufactured and backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
This valve is intended for commercial and select light industrial process applications, including HVAC systems, vacuum services, and hot and cold potable water distribution. The lug-style body allows dead-end service, meaning the valve can be installed at the end of a pipeline without a downstream flange, which simplifies isolation during maintenance. It is a common choice for mechanical contractors and commercial plumbers working on hydronic heating and cooling systems, chilled water loops, and domestic water mains where a compact, full-bore shut-off is required.
Designed for commercial and light industrial process applications including HVAC systems, vacuum services, and hot and cold potable water distribution. Rated for use with water media at 125/150 lb pressure class. Consult NIBCO documentation to confirm suitability for specific system pressures, media, and actuator configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B16.34 guidelines. Shut down and depressurize the pipeline completely before installing or removing any valve. Verify flange bolt pattern and gasket requirements at both the upstream and downstream flanges before mounting. If an actuator is being installed on the bare stem, confirm actuator torque requirements and stem dimensions against the valve data sheet before assembly.
