The NIBCO nlb95hna is a full port, two-piece ball valve designed for demanding plumbing and mechanical piping applications. Built from dezincification-resistant (DZR) silicon bronze, the valve body resists the mineral-driven corrosion that degrades standard brass in aggressive water conditions. It is rated for 600 psi non-shock cold working pressure and a maximum temperature of 300 degrees F. The full port design minimizes flow restriction across the valve, making it well suited for systems where pressure drop must be kept low. A PTFE seat provides reliable sealing with low operating torque. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this valve.
The nlb95hna is intended for residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and mechanical piping systems where lead-free compliance is required. Its NPT threaded end connections on both sides accept standard pipe threading in 1 inch size. The valve is certified to NSF 61 and NSF 372, meeting lead-free requirements under state and federal drinking water regulations. It is also compliant with ANSI 61 and ANSI 372. Applications include potable water distribution, hot and cold domestic supply lines, and general-purpose shutoff service where corrosion resistance is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation valve for 1 inch NPT threaded piping systems requiring lead-free, dezincification-resistant ball valve service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the piping system fully before removing or installing the valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads per standard practice and avoid over-torquing, which can crack fittings or damage the valve body. Verify flow direction and handle orientation before returning the system to service.
