The NIBCO NLB950XA is a two-piece, full-port ball valve from the T-585-80-LF HydraPure series, built for potable water systems where lead-free compliance is required. The body, ball, and trim are all silicon bronze, offering strong corrosion resistance in water distribution applications. The valve carries a 600 psi cold working pressure rating and a 300 degrees F temperature rating. It connects via threaded ends in a 1-inch nominal size and features PTFE softgoods with an RTFE seat. A standard lever actuator provides quick quarter-turn shutoff. This valve is domestically manufactured and meets NSF/ANSI 61-8 and NSF/ANSI 372 certification requirements for lead-free use in potable water systems.
The NLB950XA is designed for residential and commercial plumbing applications that deliver water for human consumption. It is suitable for new construction and retrofit installations where lead-free valve compliance is mandated by local code. The full-port, 1-inch orifice design minimizes flow restriction, making it appropriate for main supply lines, branch isolation, and fixture shutoff service. The threaded end style allows direct connection to standard NPT-threaded pipe without additional fittings in most installations. Overall face-to-face length is 3.34 inches, and top-to-inlet center dimension is 2.48 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for 1-inch NPT threaded potable water systems in residential and commercial construction, conforming to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 lead-free standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. Apply thread sealant or tape appropriate for potable water service to all threaded connections. Do not exceed the rated pressure or temperature limits during system commissioning or testing.
