The NIBCO nl95txd is a 2-piece, full-port ball valve designed for shutoff and flow control in commercial, residential, mechanical, and industrial plumbing systems. Built from lead-free silicon bronze with a dezincification-resistant (DZR) bronze body, it delivers bubble-tight shutoff rated at 600 PSI non-shock cold working pressure and a maximum temperature of 300 degrees F. The valve features reinforced PTFE seat rings, a blowout-proof silicon bronze stem, and a quarter-turn extended insulated handle for straightforward operation. It meets NSF/ANSI 61 Section 8 (Commercial Hot), NSF/ANSI 372, MSS SP-110, IAPMO, and Z1157 standards, making it suitable for potable water service including systems delivering water for human consumption.
The nl95txd is intended for 2-inch female-threaded pipe connections in both new construction and retrofit applications. Its full-port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, which is an advantage in high-flow plumbing runs. Typical install scenarios include commercial mechanical rooms, residential main shutoffs, and industrial process lines where lead-free compliance and robust bronze construction are required. The valve is listed under NSF/ANSI 372 for lead-free content, qualifying it for jurisdictions enforcing lead-free plumbing standards.
Designed as a lead-free OEM-style replacement or new-installation valve for 2-inch female-threaded pipe systems in commercial, residential, mechanical, and industrial applications requiring NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 compliance. Part of the NIBCO T-585-80-LF series.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing any existing valve or making connections. Female-threaded ends should be made up with an appropriate thread sealant rated for potable water service. Do not exceed the rated pressure or temperature limits during pressure testing or system operation.
