The NIBCO NL94GJC is a standard manual ball valve designed for inline shutoff and flow control in piping systems. Built with a carbon steel body and stainless steel trim, it handles the mechanical demands of commercial and industrial plumbing, hydronic heating, and process piping applications. The valve uses reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seats and seals for chemical resistance and long service life. A lever handle provides quick quarter-turn operation, making it straightforward to confirm open or closed position at a glance. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of valve.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems where a reliable, manually operated shutoff is required. The 1-1/2 inch FNPT x FNPT end connections thread directly onto male-threaded pipe or fittings, making it compatible with standard Schedule 40 threaded steel, black iron, and compatible piping configurations. It is commonly installed on supply mains, branch lines, equipment isolation points, and mechanical room headers where periodic shutoff access is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 1-1/2 inch threaded piping systems in plumbing, hydronic, and light industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME standards. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing any existing valve or making threaded connections. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on all male threads before engagement. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can damage the valve body or downstream fittings.
