The NIBCO NL94GF6 is a 1-piece standard manual ball valve designed for in-line shutoff and flow control in industrial and commercial piping systems. The body and trim are carbon steel construction, and the valve seats and seals are reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), providing chemical resistance and low-friction operation at elevated temperatures. Rated to 2000 psi at up to 400 degrees F, this valve handles demanding service conditions found in compressed air, hydraulic, and general fluid systems. The lever handle allows for quick quarter-turn operation and a clear visual indication of the open or closed position. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters in applications requiring reliable manual shutoff.
This valve is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems where a compact, high-pressure-rated manual shutoff is required. The 1/2 inch FNPT x FNPT end connections accept standard threaded pipe, making it a direct fit in new construction and retrofit installations alike. Common applications include compressed air lines, hydraulic systems, water service lines, and industrial process piping where a quarter-turn lever shutoff is preferred over a multi-turn gate or globe valve.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation manual ball valve for 1/2 inch threaded pipe systems requiring FNPT x FNPT connections and high-pressure ratings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B31 piping system standards. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing any existing valve or fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male pipe threads before making up the connection — do not apply sealant to the valve's female threads. Confirm that the system operating pressure and temperature do not exceed the valve's rated limits before returning the system to service.
