The NIBCO NJ96008 is a 2-piece ball valve in the S-580-A series, designed for shut-off service in hot and cold water and gas applications. The valve features a brass body, polished chrome brass ball, and brass stem trim with Fluorocarbon/PTFE softgoods for reliable sealing. It carries a 400 psi pressure rating and a standard port with a 0.59-inch orifice. The standard lever handle actuator allows quick quarter-turn operation. At 2.5 inches from inlet to outlet and 1.79 inches from top to inlet center, this valve fits into compact piping assemblies. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the typical installers.

The NJ96008 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and gas piping systems where a reliable solder-end shut-off is required.
