The NIBCO ng1040h is a 4-inch carbon steel flanged ball valve engineered for demanding industrial and commercial piping systems. Built to Class 150 pressure ratings with a 285 CWP (cold working pressure) rating, this valve delivers reliable shutoff in full-bore flow applications. The valve seats with reinforced PTFE for chemical resistance and tight closure, while the 316 stainless steel ball trim provides corrosion resistance in harsh service environments. A lever handle enables quick quarter-turn operation. Licensed pipefitters and mechanical contractors specify this valve where flanged connections and high-cycle shutoff are required.
This valve is suited for industrial process piping, HVAC hydronic systems, water treatment, and general commercial mechanical installations requiring flanged Class 150 connections. The 4-inch flanged end configuration allows direct bolt-up to standard ANSI Class 150 flanged equipment and piping. The carbon steel body handles elevated temperatures and pressures consistent with CL150 flanged service. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit applications where a full-port ball valve with lever actuation is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style flanged ball valve replacement for Class 150 carbon steel piping systems requiring 4-inch ANSI flanged connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or journeyman plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. De-pressurize and drain the line completely before removing the existing valve or making flanged connections. Verify flange bolt pattern and gasket specification match the adjoining pipe flanges before torquing hardware. At 63.54 pounds, use proper lifting technique or mechanical assistance when positioning the valve in the piping run.
