The NIBCO nfb84hnb is a 1-1/4 inch full port ball valve designed for copper press piping systems in potable water applications. Built from silicon bronze with reinforced PTFE seat rings, it delivers a rated working pressure of 250 psi non-shock cold working pressure and a maximum service temperature of 250 degrees F. The valve features press x press female end connections for tool-based installation without open flame, and a blowout-proof stem for added safety during operation. Stainless steel trim and a two-piece body construction contribute to long-term durability in demanding plumbing environments. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this valve type.
The nfb84hnb is intended for residential and commercial potable water systems where lead-free, press-fit copper connections are specified. Its full port design minimizes flow restriction, making it well suited for main supply lines and branch isolation in systems that require full flow capacity. The valve carries NSF 61-8 and NSF 372 certifications, confirming suitability for drinking water contact, and meets ANSI 61, ANSI 372-8, ANSI Z1157, MSS SP-110, and MSS SP-145 standards. It is also IAPMO Listed and fully lead law compliant and certified.
Designed for copper press piping systems requiring a 1-1/4 inch full port ball valve rated for potable water service at up to 250 psi and 250 degrees F. Part of the NIBCO PC-585-66-LF collection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO standards. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before installing or servicing the valve. Press connections require a manufacturer-approved press tool and jaw set matched to the pipe diameter — do not use open flame on press-fit fittings. Verify all press connections using the built-in leak-detection feature before returning the system to service.
