The NIBCO nf932x6 is a lead-free bronze in-line spring check valve designed for press x press female end connections in potable water and hydronic piping systems. Rated at 250 psi cold working pressure (non-shock) with a maximum temperature rating of 300 degrees F at 100 psi, this valve suits demanding residential and light commercial plumbing installations. The lift-type design uses a spring-actuated, resilient disc to control flow direction and prevent backflow. Press-fit connections with inboard bead and EPDM O-rings eliminate the need for flame, solder, or flux, making joinery fast and reliable. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this valve.
The nf932x6 is intended for in-line installation in 1/2 inch press-fit copper piping systems. Its dezincification-resistant, lead-free bronze body makes it well suited for potable water distribution lines where NSF compliance is required. The press x press connection style is compatible with standard press-fit tooling, making it a practical choice in retrofit and new-construction scenarios where open flame is restricted or undesirable. It conforms to MSS SP-139 and meets NSF/ANSI/CAN-61 and 372 certification requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for 1/2 inch press-fit copper piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where lead-free, NSF-compliant check valves are required.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber using a compatible press-fit tool rated for the pipe size and connection system. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before installing or replacing the valve. Verify flow direction markings on the valve body before pressing connections. Local plumbing codes (IPC and applicable state amendments) govern check valve placement, orientation, and inspection requirements.
