The NIBCO MD910AD is a true union manual ball valve designed for 2-inch pipe systems requiring reliable, full-port flow control. Built from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this valve handles aggressive chemical environments and elevated temperatures up to 280 degrees F with a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. The true union design allows the valve body to be removed from the line without disturbing the pipe connections, making in-line maintenance and replacement straightforward. It features a wedge-style handle and FNPT x FNPT end connections. Rated for Schedule 80 service, it is well suited to industrial process piping, chemical distribution, and high-purity fluid handling applications installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters.
This valve is used in systems that convey corrosive chemicals, high-purity water, or process fluids where metal valves are unsuitable. The PVDF body resists a broad range of acids, bases, and solvents, making it a common choice in chemical processing, semiconductor fabrication, water treatment, and industrial plumbing. The full-port ball provides unrestricted flow with minimal pressure drop across the valve. The 2-inch FNPT x FNPT configuration threads directly into Schedule 80 PVC or CPVC pipe fittings and matching threaded end connections.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing the valve. Use thread sealant compatible with PVDF and the conveyed fluid — verify chemical compatibility before applying any compound. Do not over-torque FNPT connections, as PVDF threads can crack under excessive force.
