The NIBCO ma930uc is a 1.5-inch full-port PVC Tru-Bloc ball valve with a double union body design and FKM O-ring seals. It accepts both threaded and socket connections, making it adaptable to common PVC piping configurations. The double union construction allows in-line maintenance and inspection without disconnecting the adjacent pipe run. Because the valve uses a full-port design, pressure drop through the valve is equivalent to the same length of Schedule 80 pipe, so the Cv value can be disregarded in most flow calculations. Installed by licensed plumbers and industrial pipe fitters, this valve is suited for fluid handling systems that require reliable shutoff and easy serviceability.
The ma930uc is rated for demanding fluid control applications across a wide range of industries. Typical uses include chemical processing, electroplating lines, photo processing facilities, laboratory plumbing, water conditioning systems, electrical generation facilities, and pharmaceutical process piping. The PVC body and FKM seals provide compatibility with many aggressive or corrosive media encountered in these environments. The 1.5-inch size fits standard PVC pipe schedules and is well suited to mid-sized process and utility lines where a compact, maintainable shutoff valve is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for 1.5-inch PVC piping systems in industrial, commercial, and laboratory applications where FKM seals and double union serviceability are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipe fitter following applicable local plumbing codes and the system designer's specifications. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any valve. For threaded connections, use a thread sealant compatible with PVC and with the process fluid being handled — do not use sealants that swell or attack PVC. For socket connections, follow standard PVC solvent-cement procedures and allow full cure time before pressurizing the system.
