The NIBCO MA0112A is a 1-inch miniature manual ball valve designed for PVC piping systems where reliable flow shutoff is required in tight spaces. Built from polyvinylchloride (PVC) in a 1-piece body configuration, this valve uses solvent x solvent end connections and is rated for Schedule 40 installations. The standard-port ball and tee-style handle give the technician positive, quarter-turn control with a compact footprint. At 0.4 pounds, it installs easily in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and chemical distribution lines where PVC is the material of choice.
This valve fits Schedule 40 PVC piping at 1-inch nominal pipe size. The solvent x solvent connection style means both inlet and outlet are joined to the pipe using solvent cement, making it a permanent-type fitting appropriate for buried, in-wall, or mechanical-room installations where threaded fittings are not preferred. It is commonly specified in pool and spa plumbing, irrigation manifolds, water treatment systems, and industrial fluid-handling runs where PVC is code-acceptable and the operating pressure stays within the valve rating.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation miniature ball valve for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems with 1-inch nominal solvent-joint connections.
Installation is performed by plumbers or pipefitters familiar with PVC solvent-cement joining per ASTM D2564 procedures. Shut off system flow and depressurize the line before cutting in or replacing the valve. Apply primer and solvent cement to both the pipe end and valve socket, insert fully, and hold for the manufacturer-recommended set time before restoring pressure. Do not apply heat to the valve body and do not exceed the rated working pressure of the installed PVC piping system.
