The NIBCO LD-2022-0-6 is a ductile iron lug-style butterfly valve designed for commercial, mechanical, and industrial piping systems. It operates with a quarter-turn (90 degrees) open-to-close action for fast, reliable shutoff. The valve uses an internal stem and disc geometric drive design that eliminates the need for pins or bolts, removing potential leak paths and reducing turbulence in the waterway. A CF8M stainless steel disc and molded-in EPDM seat liner make this valve well suited for most water applications. The extended neck accommodates insulation up to 2 inches. Rated at 200 psi, it is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters across a range of water service applications.
This lug butterfly valve is appropriate for residential, commercial, and light industrial water service installations where a compact, low-torque isolation valve is required. The lug-style body allows for dead-end service and simplified installation between flanges without requiring a downstream flange to hold pressure. The EPDM seat liner is compatible with most water and mild fluid applications. Refer to NIBCO technical data sheets and chemical resistance guides before applying this valve to non-water service.
Designed as an OEM-style lug butterfly valve for commercial and industrial water piping systems where EPDM-seated, stainless steel disc valves are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local and national plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before installing or servicing this valve. Verify flange bolt patterns and face-to-face dimensions are compatible with the existing piping before mounting. Consult NIBCO technical data sheets and chemical resistance guides for application-specific engineering requirements before placing the valve in service.
