The NIBCO LCS-6822-3-212 is a 2.5-inch lug-type high performance butterfly valve designed for Class 150 service in commercial, mechanical, and industrial piping systems. The valve features a dual offset design with a one-piece, blowout-proof stem machined from 17-4PH stainless steel, paired with 304 stainless steel PTFE-coated bushings. Live-loaded, adjustable packing with a flush-mounted packing gland provides long-term sealing reliability. Glass-reinforced PTFE seats deliver strong chemical and heat resistance across a wide range of process fluids. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this class of valve.
This valve is suited for uni-directional dead-end service applications where isolation is required at a flange endpoint. The body carries a cast arrow indicating required flow direction, which must be observed during installation. A powder-coated epoxy exterior finish protects against corrosion in mechanical room and industrial environments. Direct mount actuation capability allows the valve to accept actuators without an intermediate bracket, supporting both manual lever and automated operation. Typical installations include commercial HVAC piping, process lines, and industrial fluid handling systems requiring Class 150 pressure ratings.
Designed as an OEM-style lug-type butterfly valve for Class 150 flanged piping systems in commercial, mechanical, and industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and the manufacturer technical data sheets. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing valve or installing this unit. Observe the cast flow-direction arrow on the valve body during installation to ensure correct orientation for dead-end service. Refer to NIBCO technical data sheets, chemical resistance guides, and catalogs for engineering specifications and torque requirements before commissioning.
