The NIBCO INC W01920T is a lead-free copper flush bushing used to reduce pipe size within a copper sweat system. It features a male solder (FTG) end on one side and a solder cup (C) on the other, allowing it to sit flush inside a fitting socket rather than extending beyond it. At 1/2 x 3/8 inch, it transitions a 1/2-inch line down to a 3/8-inch connection. Plumbers and pipefitters use this bushing when a standard reducing coupling is not practical and a compact, in-line size reduction is needed. The lead-free construction meets potable water compliance requirements for residential and commercial plumbing applications.
This flush bushing is suited for copper sweat piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing. Typical applications include domestic water supply lines where a size reduction is required at a fitting connection point. It is installed using standard soldering techniques and is appropriate for both hot and cold water service lines. Sold in packages of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment component for 1/2 x 3/8 inch FTG x C copper sweat reducing applications in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber using standard copper sweat soldering tools including a torch, flux, and lead-free solder. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before soldering to ensure a dry joint and proper bonding. Follow local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines for fitting installation and lead-free material requirements. Do not force the bushing into an undersized socket; verify fitting compatibility before soldering.
