The NIBCO INC W01410C is a 3/4 inch FTGxC (fitting-to-copper) 45-degree elbow fitting designed to change the direction of a copper pipe run by 45 degrees. It features solder cup ends that allow a licensed plumber to make a clean, permanent sweat connection using standard torch and solder technique. Constructed as a lead-free fitting, it meets potable water compliance requirements for residential and commercial plumbing applications. The elbow ships in packages of 20 and is suited for retrofit or new-installation work wherever a 45-degree offset is needed in a copper water line.
This fitting is used in copper water distribution systems in both residential and light commercial settings. Typical applications include supply line routing in walls, ceilings, and mechanical rooms where a gradual 45-degree directional change is preferred over a sharp 90-degree turn to reduce turbulence and pressure loss. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on potable water, hydronic heating, and general copper piping systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 3/4 inch copper tube systems using FTGxC sweat connections in residential and commercial plumbing installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying heat to ensure a sound, leak-free solder joint. Avoid overheating the fitting cup, as excessive heat can damage the socket geometry and compromise the joint.
