The NIBCO INC W01295D is a 1-1/4 inch CxM (copper-to-male) adapter fitting designed to transition a sweat solder connection to a male NPT threaded connection. The fitting features a solder cup end that accepts a copper pipe and a male NPT threaded end that connects to threaded fittings or valves. Built lead-free, it meets drinking water compliance requirements for potable water systems. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting when a copper run must terminate or continue at a threaded component such as a valve, pump, or manifold. This is a C604 series fitting packaged in units of ten.
This adapter is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where copper supply lines interface with threaded iron or brass components. Typical applications include water service lines, hot and cold domestic supply runs, and hydronic distribution systems. The 1-1/4 inch size suits main distribution lines and branch headers where flow capacity demands a larger bore than standard half-inch or three-quarter-inch branch lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1-1/4 inch copper pipe systems requiring a transition to male NPT threaded connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber using standard sweat soldering tools including a torch, solder, and flux in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting the copper pipe. Clean and flux both the pipe end and solder cup thoroughly before applying heat to ensure a complete, void-free joint. Do not apply flame directly to the threaded end or any connected threaded component.
