The NIBCO INC W01260T is a lead-free copper male adapter fitting designed to transition a solder (sweat) connection to a male NPT threaded connection. The fitting features a 3/4-inch solder cup end and a 1/2-inch male NPT threaded end, allowing a plumber to connect copper tubing to a threaded pipe or valve body. This adapter is commonly used in potable water supply systems, hydronic heating lines, and general plumbing rough-in work. Its lead-free construction meets current plumbing code requirements for systems carrying drinking water.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where copper tubing must terminate at a threaded fitting, valve, or fixture. It is installed by licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing mechanics during new construction, renovation, or repair work. The solder cup end accepts standard 3/4-inch copper tubing, and the male NPT thread connects to any standard 1/2-inch female-threaded fitting or valve inlet.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for copper tubing plumbing systems requiring a transition from a solder connection to a male NPT threaded connection.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before soldering or threading any fitting. Clean and flux all copper surfaces before making the sweat connection, and follow ASTM and local code requirements for solder type in potable water applications. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before connecting to a female-threaded fitting to ensure a leak-free joint.
