The NIBCO INC W00720J is a lead-free copper pressure coupling with stop, sized at 1/2 inch CxC (copper by copper) and sold in bags of 10 fittings. It features solder cups on both ends and an internal dimple stop that positions each tube end at the correct insertion depth before soldering. This fitting is designed for joining two lengths of copper tubing in potable water, hydronic, and general-purpose plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting using standard torch-and-solder technique. The lead-free construction meets drinking water compliance requirements under current NSF and Safe Drinking Water Act standards.
This coupling is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where two straight runs of 1/2 inch copper tube must be joined. Typical install scenarios include supply line repairs, new rough-in work, and hydronic heating loop connections. The dimple stop eliminates the need for measuring tube insertion depth, which speeds up repetitive work on multi-connection jobs. This fitting is appropriate anywhere a pressure-rated sweat connection is required in a 1/2 inch copper system.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting for use with standard 1/2 inch copper tubing in pressure plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and drain the water supply completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; use lead-free solder for any potable water application. Allow joints to cool fully before restoring system pressure and inspecting for leaks.
