The NIBCO I058250 is an ABS plastic 90-degree street elbow designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. It features a spigot inlet and a hub outlet, allowing it to connect directly into another fitting hub without the need for an additional coupling. The fitting measures 4 x 3 inches and is molded from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which offers a lightweight, chemically resistant alternative to cast iron or PVC in DWV applications. Rated for service from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F, this elbow is suited for indoor residential and light commercial drain and vent piping runs.
This street elbow is used in DWV drain and vent piping installations where a 90-degree directional change is required and the spigot-by-hub end configuration simplifies the fitting layout. Typical applications include branch connections in soil stacks, closet bends, and fixture drain lines. Licensed plumbers install this fitting during new construction, remodels, or repair work on ABS DWV systems. It is sold individually and is appropriate for use in both above-ground horizontal and vertical piping configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for ABS DWV piping systems requiring a 4 x 3 inch, 90-degree street elbow with spigot x hub end connections.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local plumbing codes for ABS DWV systems. Solvent cement joining is the standard method for ABS fittings; use an ABS-rated primer and cement and follow the cement manufacturer's dwell and cure times before pressurizing or running flow through the joint. Always verify that the mating pipe or fitting spigot is clean, free of burrs, and dry before applying cement. Inspect alignment before the joint sets, as solvent-welded ABS connections are not adjustable once cured.
