The NIBCO I058050 is a 90-degree street elbow fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. Molded from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), it connects a spigot end to a hub end, allowing a direction change within a DWV line without requiring an additional coupling. At 1-1/2 inches, it fits standard residential drain lines and vent stacks. The spigot end inserts directly into an adjacent hub fitting, reducing the number of joints in a run. Licensed plumbers and drain technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial DWV systems where a 90-degree change in pipe direction is required. Typical applications include branch connections on sink drains, lavatory waste lines, and vertical vent stack offsets. The 1-1/2-inch size is common on lavatory, washing machine, and kitchen sink drain runs. It is suited for use within walls, under slabs, or in exposed service areas where ABS DWV piping is the specified material.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1-1/2-inch ABS DWV piping systems using standard spigot and hub solvent-weld connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes governing ABS DWV piping. Before cutting into an existing drain or vent line, confirm the system is depressurized and drained. Use ABS-rated solvent cement and primer where required by local code, applying cement to both the spigot end and the receiving hub before making the joint. Allow full cure time before returning the system to service.
