The NIBCO H-77201W is a thermostatic mixing valve designed to blend hot and cold water supplies to a stable, controlled output temperature. Built with a forged DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass body and EPDM softgoods, this valve is suited for potable water systems where corrosion resistance and long-term seal integrity matter. The 3/8 inch nominal compression end style allows straightforward connection to standard supply tubing without soldering. Plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of valve on water heater outputs, lavatory supplies, and similar domestic hot water applications where scald protection or consistent delivery temperature is required.
This valve fits residential and light commercial plumbing installations. Compression end connections make it compatible with copper and compatible tubing commonly found in under-sink supply lines, water heater isolation stations, and fixture supply assemblies. It is appropriate for use in new construction and retrofit projects where a compact, inline thermostatic mixing solution is needed at the point of use.
Designed as an OEM-style thermostatic mixing valve for residential and light commercial domestic hot water plumbing systems using 3/8 inch compression supply connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning any connection work. Compression fittings must be seated and tightened properly to prevent leaks — do not overtighten, as this can damage the ferrule or valve body. After installation, verify outlet temperature with a calibrated thermometer before returning the system to service.
