The NIBCO CE03915 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple designed for use in corrosive fluid handling and high-purity piping systems. Manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) in a natural color finish, this nipple measures 1-1/2 inches in pipe size and 5 inches in length. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure-handling capability compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this component as a short connecting section between threaded fittings, valves, or equipment ports. Its threaded ends conform to standard NPT dimensions for reliable, leak-resistant connections in chemical process, water treatment, and high-purity fluid systems.
The CE03915 is suited for applications where chemical resistance and purity are critical, including chemical feed lines, deionized water systems, and laboratory plumbing. PVDF offers broad resistance to acids, bases, and organic solvents, making this nipple appropriate for both residential chemical dosing setups and commercial or light industrial process piping. Its natural color finish indicates unfilled PVDF material, which is preferred in high-purity environments where extractables must be minimized.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1-1/2 inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the system and drain all fluid before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Use PTFE thread sealant tape rated for use with PVDF and plastic fittings — avoid pipe dopes or compounds not listed as compatible with polyvinylidene fluoride, as some compounds can cause stress cracking. Do not overtighten threaded plastic fittings, as excess torque can crack the nipple body.
