The NIBCO CE03910 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple designed for demanding fluid-handling applications where chemical resistance and pressure integrity are required. Sized at 1-1/2 inch pipe diameter and 6 inches in length, this nipple threads directly into fittings, valves, and equipment using standard NPT connections. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) construction provides excellent resistance to a broad range of aggressive chemicals, making it a reliable choice in industrial, chemical processing, and high-purity piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically specify Schedule 80 PVDF nipples where PVC or CPVC fall short in chemical compatibility.
This nipple is suited for use in commercial and industrial piping systems that handle corrosive fluids, ultrapure water, or chemical solutions. The natural color finish is standard for PVDF Schedule 80 pipe components. Typical install scenarios include chemical feed lines, laboratory plumbing, semiconductor facility piping, and corrosion-resistant process lines where metal pipe is not appropriate. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides additional strength and pressure capacity compared to Schedule 40 equivalents.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1-1/2 inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems. Shut off all flow and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Use PTFE thread tape or an approved thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific fluid service — do not use pipe dopes that may degrade PVDF. Refer to local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) for applicable requirements on plastic pipe in chemical or high-purity service.
