Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems. Shut off all system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Use PTFE thread tape or an appropriate thread sealant rated for PVDF and the media being conveyed — do not use petroleum-based compounds that may degrade the material. Hand-tighten first, then apply minimal wrench turns to avoid cracking the PVDF; overtightening threaded plastic fittings is a leading cause of field failures.
