The NIBCO CE03775 is a Schedule 80 PVDF threaded pipe nipple designed for demanding fluid-handling applications where chemical resistance and elevated temperature performance are required. Sized at 1/2 inch pipe diameter and 3 inches in length with MNPT threading, this nipple provides a secure, leak-resistant connection in piping systems handling corrosive media, aggressive chemicals, or high-purity fluids. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers superior resistance to a broad range of acids, bases, and solvents, making this nipple a reliable choice where standard thermoplastics or metals would degrade. Plumbers and pipefitters working in industrial, chemical processing, or specialty commercial systems specify Schedule 80 PVDF fittings when system integrity under pressure and temperature is critical.
This nipple is suited for use in chemical process piping, semiconductor fabrication lines, water treatment systems, and industrial plumbing installations where corrosive or high-purity fluid contact is a concern. Its Schedule 80 wall thickness supports higher working pressures than Schedule 40 counterparts, and the natural PVDF finish meets ASTM D3222 material standards. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit installations in systems requiring chemically inert plastic pipe components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF thermoplastic piping systems using 1/2 inch MNPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems and applicable codes such as the IPC. Power down or depressurize the system fully before making any threaded connections. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant rated compatible with PVDF and the media being conveyed — do not use petroleum-based pipe dopes that can degrade PVDF. Avoid over-torquing plastic threaded fittings, as excessive force can crack or deform the fitting body.
