Product Description

The NIBCO CE03400 is a flush threaded reducer bushing manufactured from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), a high-performance thermoplastic rated for demanding industrial and chemical service applications. This Schedule 80 fitting transitions from a 2-inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on the outer end to a 1-inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the inner end, reducing line size within a threaded piping system. PVDF offers excellent resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals, UV exposure, and high-purity fluid handling requirements. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in process piping, chemical distribution, and high-purity water systems.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded fittings. Depressurize and drain the line fully before removing or installing any threaded fittings.
