The NIBCO CE02450 is a 2-inch Schedule 80 PVDF hex plug designed to seal the end of a threaded pipe or fitting in demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a high-performance thermoplastic with excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, UV exposure, and elevated temperatures, making it a preferred material where standard PVC or CPVC would be insufficient. The male iron pipe thread (MIPT) connection allows the plug to thread directly into a female-threaded fitting or valve body. Installation and removal are straightforward using a pipe wrench or hex key applied to the hex head profile. This fitting is handled by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians.

The CE02450 is suited for use in chemical processing, water treatment, semiconductor fabrication, and industrial fluid handling applications where both corrosion resistance and pressure-rated performance are required. Installation Notes
