The NIBCO CE02300 is a Schedule 80 PVDF hex plug designed to seal off threaded pipe ends in demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. Constructed from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this fitting delivers strong resistance to corrosive fluids, high temperatures, and UV exposure. The 3/4 inch male NPT (MIPT) thread provides a secure, leak-resistant closure on female-threaded pipe, fittings, or valve ports. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this plug in systems where thermoplastic construction is required for chemical compatibility. It meets ASTM D3222 standards for PVDF material, making it a reliable choice for chemical handling, water treatment, and ultrapure water applications.
The CE02300 is suited for residential and commercial piping installations where metal fittings are incompatible with the process fluid. Common applications include chemical dosing lines, semiconductor fabrication water systems, pool and spa chemical feed piping, and industrial process lines handling acids, bases, or solvents. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure tolerance than Schedule 40, making this plug appropriate for moderate- to higher-pressure systems. It accepts standard MNPT thread engagement for straightforward installation into existing threaded pipe systems.

A licensed plumber or pipefitter should install this fitting in accordance with applicable codes, including IPC provisions for plastic piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded plug. Apply a PTFE thread tape or thread sealant rated for PVDF and the process fluid before engagement. Do not overtighten with power tools, as PVDF threads can crack under excessive torque; use a hand wrench and snug the fitting firmly without forcing.
