The NIBCO CE02050 is a Schedule 80 PVDF thermoplastic pipe tee designed for demanding fluid handling applications where chemical resistance and structural integrity are priorities. Sized at 3/4 inch with female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on all three ports, this tee allows a branched pipe run to be assembled using standard threaded fittings. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, making this fitting a go-to choice for corrosive fluid systems. It is installed by licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters working on chemical process, high-purity, or industrial fluid distribution systems.
This fitting is suited for use in commercial and industrial piping systems where standard metal fittings are not appropriate due to corrosion concerns. Typical applications include chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, laboratory plumbing, and industrial process piping. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides additional pressure-bearing capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-pressure service conditions. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Use thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific fluid being handled, as some sealants are incompatible with PVDF or aggressive chemicals. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as thermoplastic threads can crack under excessive force.
