The NIBCO CE02000 is a Schedule 80 PVDF tee fitting designed for threaded pipe systems handling aggressive chemical media, high-purity fluids, or corrosive process lines. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) delivers excellent resistance to acids, bases, and many solvents while maintaining dimensional stability across a wide temperature range. The fitting uses female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on all three ports, allowing direct assembly with threaded PVDF or compatible plastic pipe. This tee is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on industrial, chemical processing, semiconductor, and laboratory plumbing systems where metal fittings are unsuitable.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial applications where chemical resistance and purity are critical. Typical installations include chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, semiconductor fabrication piping, and laboratory distribution systems. The 1/2 inch size fits standard half-inch threaded pipe runs. Because PVDF is inherently resistant to UV exposure, it also sees use in outdoor and exposed-location piping where other plastics degrade over time.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation tee for Schedule 80 threaded PVDF piping systems using 1/2 inch female iron pipe thread connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded fittings and applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembling any fitting. Use PTFE tape or a PVDF-compatible thread sealant rated for the media being conveyed — do not use petroleum-based pipe dope, which can damage PVDF. Hand-tighten first, then apply only moderate wrench torque; PVDF threads can crack if overtightened.
