The NIBCO CE01850 is a 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF socket tee designed for industrial and chemical piping systems where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are critical. Manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this fitting delivers excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, solvents, and high-purity fluid applications. The tee features an S x S x S (socket by socket by socket) end connection configuration on all three ports. At Schedule 80 wall thickness, it is built for higher-pressure service compared to standard Schedule 40 fittings. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters typically install this fitting in process piping, chemical transfer lines, and high-purity water systems.
This socket tee is suited for commercial and industrial applications where standard thermoplastic fittings are inadequate due to chemical exposure or elevated operating pressures. Common installations include chemical processing facilities, semiconductor fabrication, laboratory plumbing, and water treatment systems. The socket configuration allows for solvent-cement joining, which creates a reliable, leak-free connection consistent with PVDF piping system standards. It is sold and packaged as an individual unit with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF socket piping systems conforming to ASTM D3222.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic solvent-cement joining procedures. The system must be depressurized and drained before any fitting is removed or installed. Use only PVDF-compatible solvent cement and primer as specified by the piping system manufacturer; do not substitute PVC or CPVC cement. Follow applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC and any facility-specific chemical handling regulations when working in process or chemical environments.
