Constructed from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this fitting handles a working temperature range of 73 degrees F to 280 degrees F, making it well-suited for aggressive fluid transfer applications. The tee features S x S x S end connections — socket on all three ports — and meets ASTM D3222 standards for PVDF plastic pipe fittings. Plumbers and pipefitters working with corrosive chemical, high-purity water, or industrial process lines select this fitting for its material integrity and dimensional precision.
The CE01800 is used in residential and commercial plumbing systems that carry corrosive chemicals, acids, or ultra-pure water where standard PVC or metal fittings are not appropriate. Typical installations include chemical processing lines, semiconductor fabrication water systems, and industrial process piping. The socket configuration allows for solvent-cement joining, which is standard practice in thermoplastic piping installations. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure-handling capability over Schedule 40 equivalents in these demanding environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF thermoplastic piping systems using 3/4 inch nominal pipe with socket-end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic solvent-cement joining procedures. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use only PVDF-compatible solvent cement and primer as specified by the pipe and fitting manufacturer — standard PVC or CPVC cements are not appropriate for PVDF. Follow applicable codes including IPC and ASTM joining guidelines for plastic pressure piping.
