The NIBCO CE01700 is a 2-inch Schedule 80 PVDF 90-degree elbow fitting designed for demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, UV exposure, and high-purity fluid handling applications. The female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on both ends allow straightforward threaded assembly into existing Schedule 80 piping networks. This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or industrial maintenance technicians working in chemical processing, water treatment, semiconductor, or similar process piping environments.
This elbow is suited for Schedule 80 thermoplastic piping systems where a 90-degree change of direction is required. PVDF material makes it appropriate for high-purity water systems, chemical distribution lines, and corrosive fluid handling where metal fittings would be unsuitable. The FIPT x FIPT end configuration allows connection to male-threaded Schedule 80 pipe or other FIPT-compatible components. It is intended for use in both industrial and commercial installations requiring reliable, chemically resistant piping components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 2-inch FIPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before removing any existing fittings or making new connections. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant rated for use with PVDF and the specific fluid being handled. Do not over-torque threaded plastic fittings, as PVDF can crack under excessive mechanical stress.
