The NIBCO CE01600 is a 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF 90-degree elbow fitting designed for demanding industrial and chemical piping systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers exceptional resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, making this fitting a reliable choice in aggressive fluid handling applications. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure-bearing capacity compared to Schedule 40. End connections are female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on both ends, allowing straightforward threaded assembly into existing piping runs. Licensed plumbers and industrial piping contractors typically install this fitting in chemical process, high-purity, and corrosion-resistant piping systems.
This fitting is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing and process piping where chemical resistance and structural integrity are required. The FIPT x FIPT configuration makes it compatible with threaded pipe assemblies and simplifies installation without the need for solvent cement. Typical applications include chemical feed lines, water treatment systems, industrial process piping, and corrosive fluid transfer lines where standard PVC or metal fittings would be unsuitable.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 threaded PVDF piping systems in chemical process and corrosion-resistant plumbing applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified industrial piping contractors. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant rated for use with PVDF and the specific fluid being conveyed. Follow IPC and applicable local plumbing codes for threaded plastic fitting installations, and do not overtighten connections, as PVDF threads can crack under excessive torque.
