The NIBCO CE01500 is a 90-degree elbow fitting manufactured from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), rated for Schedule 80 service. PVDF is a high-purity thermoplastic with strong resistance to acids, bases, halogens, and many organic solvents, making it a go-to material for demanding fluid-handling applications. Both end connections are female iron pipe thread (FIPT), allowing direct threaded engagement with male-threaded pipe or fittings. At 1/2 inch in size, this fitting is suited for smaller-diameter process and chemical lines. Plumbers, pipefitters, and chemical process technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting.

Installation Notes

Use PTFE thread tape or a compatible thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific fluid being handled — avoid pipe dopes containing solvents that can attack PVDF. Do not overtighten threaded connections; hand-tight plus one to two turns with a strap wrench is the general practice for plastic threaded fittings to prevent cracking.
