The NIBCO CE01150 is a 45-degree elbow pipe fitting manufactured from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), a high-performance thermoplastic suited for demanding chemical and high-purity fluid handling applications. Built to Schedule 80 wall thickness, this fitting provides robust pressure ratings in both pressure and drainage configurations. The female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on both ends allow straightforward threaded assembly into existing pipe runs. At 1.5 inches nominal size, it is sized for common industrial and commercial process piping systems. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in industrial process piping, chemical transfer lines, high-purity water systems, and corrosion-resistant plumbing applications where standard PVC or CPVC materials are insufficient. PVDF Schedule 80 fittings are commonly specified in semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical processing, water treatment, and laboratory environments. The FIPT x FIPT end connections make it compatible with externally threaded Schedule 80 plastic or compatible metal pipe nipples and adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1-1/2 inch nominal pipe with NPT male-threaded end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Use PTFE thread tape or an approved thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific media being conveyed. Do not use pipe wrenches directly on PVDF fittings without protective padding, as overtightening can crack the fitting body.
