The NIBCO CE01100 is a 45-degree elbow pipe fitting manufactured from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), a high-purity thermoplastic well suited for corrosive chemical and high-purity fluid handling applications. Built to Schedule 80 wall thickness, this fitting accepts female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections on both ends, making it compatible with threaded piping systems. At 1 inch nominal size, it redirects flow at a 45-degree angle while maintaining the pressure integrity expected of Schedule 80 construction. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of fitting in industrial, chemical processing, and high-purity water systems.
This fitting is designed for use in systems that require resistance to aggressive chemicals, UV exposure, and high-purity fluid contact. Typical applications include chemical feed lines, ultrapure water distribution, semiconductor fabrication facilities, laboratory plumbing, and industrial process piping. The FIPT x FIPT end connections allow direct threaded assembly into existing Schedule 80 plastic pipe systems without solvent cementing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using 1 inch nominal pipe size with FIPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter familiar with plastic threaded fittings. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before disassembly or installation. Use PTFE thread tape or an appropriate thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific media being conveyed — do not use sealants that contain solvents incompatible with PVDF. Avoid over-tightening, as excessive torque can crack plastic threaded fittings; hand-tight plus one to two turns with a strap wrench is typical practice for plastic FIPT fittings.
